“Smart factories build superior machines, and teams of master craftsmen empower them with advanced capabilities,” said Chen Honghai, Director of the Lathe Assembly Plant. “Following a comprehensive upgrade, the HTC40 series boasts enhanced structural rigidity and greater operational flexibility, supporting multi-process composite machining and enabling simultaneous optimization of efficiency and precision from raw material to finished product.” Leveraging the intelligent manufacturing capabilities of Shenyang Machine Tool, a national-level “National-Level Outstanding Smart Factory” and “5G Factory” in China’s machine tool industry, the HTC40 series has achieved an intelligent upgrade across key manufacturing processes: five critical components are produced in a single step within a “dark factory,” ensuring structural accuracy at the source; meanwhile, the “5G private network–based machine tool quality inspection application” enables real-time collection of assembly data, guaranteeing full-process traceability. Building on this foundation, an expert team led by Xu Baojun, a National Master Craftsman, has translated decades of artisanal expertise into 13 structured improvement configurations and a mature library of process solutions that span industries such as automotive and bearing manufacturing. This integrated model of “hard smart manufacturing plus soft empowerment” not only redefines the value benchmark for lathe products but also addresses the core demand for high-quality development in manufacturing through data-driven certainty.
